Consumer Watchdog, an almighty firm crusading against Google's alleged privacy shortcomings, has brought their fight to a new level. They have launched a nationwide campaign through TV ads, aiming to inform people that Google is not a privacy haven.
Ironically, videos from Consumer Watchdog mocking Google are all hosted on YouTube, Google's video uploading website. The group's website, InsideGoogle, has posted two videos, both of which depicts Google CEO Eric Shmidt as the ultimate privacy evil. Both of the videos are now on YouTube, garnering a pool of comments from people pro and against the campaign. Consumer Watchdog's videos mocking the Google CEO is part of their nationwide "Do Not Track Me List". The group's campaign have received applause from privacy advocates, but not all privacy experts are seeing things like CW is seeing them.
