Apple's fight on the jailbreaking issue is far from over. Even though the court have ruled in favor of the act, Apple is doing its best to stop it. And one of its way is to look at the issue on the other side and bring it to a new level.

Instead of just refusing to service the phone that has been jailbroken because of a void warranty, Apple apparently has filed for a regulation that will let them literally brick a jailbroken phone. With it, they can shut the phone down remotely.

But along with that, privacy advocates see another thing. With Apple's insistence to keep its products secure, the company can even go as far as to violating the user's privacy.

With the filing, Apple will have the power to determine whether the current user of the phone is the authorized owner. Apple can do that by means of activating the phone camera, get vital information such as location, contacts and even record the heartbeat of the user.

Apple will do these when a software tweaking is detected in the phone or when the phone owner reports a lost device. And when Apple determines an unauthorized use, it will brick the phone, rendering it useless.

And although Apple can only activate the phone's spying features when there is an unauthorized use detection or a report, advocates still fear the idea that Apple can open their phone cameras or browse their phones anytime they want.

And while others see this as a form of security for an investment that is the iPhone, in case it got lost and landed on some other person's hand, many others view this as outright invasion of privacy.
